Andrew lives and works on the Isle of Harris, Scotland and has a passion for representing landscapes in oil.
"Being brought up on the West Coast of Scotland, I have always had some of the most influencial scenery in the world at my doorstep. As such, my inspiration has been nurtured accordingly. I am fascinated by the effect of light on the land and sea, and this theme runs through most of my recent work. Rather than the glorious sunny days of Luss bought postcards, I find the remotest outcrops of the Hebrides sought in the wilds of winter offer up a more dramatic and challenging temptation to the artist."
The Skoon Online Art Gallery started in 2003 as an efficient easy to use means of promoting UK based artists working in all mediums. Andrew was a founder member of the gallery and his latest work can still be seen there. The idea for the non-profit making site was devised by a group of artists who wanted to be able to update their own work, in their own exhibits, at any time, whilst recognising that their work can be more efficiently marketed as a greater collective.
